I have always marveled at the beauty of creation. Gardens, flowers, nature, even everyday household objects are a delight to my eyes. I never cease to wonder at the early morning sunshine sparkling on a blade of dew-laden grass, or the cool shadows of an autumn afternoon. I find the crisp sunlight on a glass bottle, or the delicate curves of a flower petal fascinating. There is so much beauty in the world for us to see when we take the time to look.
Art has been an important part of my life since I was able to pick up my first crayon. Painting and drawing are the methods I use to study the world around me. To me, the process of painting is just as important as the finished product. My paintings are simply a record of my journey in the observation process.
I want to thank my husband and family for encouraging me and supporting me. I also want to give The Creator of this amazing universe credit for any talent I may possess. Life is a wonderful journey.
