Beginning Watercolor Workshop
One Day Workshop
Location: Home Studio - Map on Registration Form
Day: Monday, July 7, 2008
Time: 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Cost: $75.00 - Bring a lunch

This workshop is for beginners who want to learn the foundational skills required for successful watercolor painting. Washes, brush handling, and important core techniques are covered through demonstrations by the instructor, class practice as well as one-on-one guidance.
The morning will be spent discussing work area, materials and approaching a watercolor painting. We will also practice some of the basic skills in watercolor techniques. After a short lunch break (bring a lunch!), we will work on a small project together. The instructor will demonstrate techniques and allow time for the students to practice on the assigned project.

Plein Air Painting - Hosta Garden
One Day Workshop
Location: Private Garden- Map will be sent when paid registration is received.
Day: Monday, July 14, 2008
Time: 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Cost: $75.00 - Bring a lunch

This one-day workshop is for students who have a basic knowledge of watercolor techniques including flat wash and some brushwork. We will be working outdoors, on location at a rural home with a beautiful hosta garden. We hope to complete two hosta paintings studying the different light in morning and afternoon. Pre-registration is required. A map will be sent when registration form and payment are received. Students must bring a lunch, lawn chair and their own supplies.

Color Theory For Watercolor
One Day Workshop

Day: Saturday, August 30, 2008

This one-day workshop is for students who have a basic knowledge of watercolor techniques including flat wash and some brushwork. We will explore the wonderful colors on our palette, how colors affect one another, interact and can be controlled to develop a meaningful painting. We will work on exercises that will build our understanding of color and transparent qualities of watercolor. Students must bring a lunch and their own supplies .
